We  provide practical self defence for men and women, boys and girls, because if there is one thing in this world we intensely dislike it is bullying in all its forms, whether verbal or physical.  We strongly support any activity that defeats bullying and violence.

Personal safety training is not specifically oriented towards any one occupational or social group as bullying and violence knows no discrimination and flows throughout. It is our aim to deliver positive outcomes with a practical and holistic philosophy to ensure the care, safety and security of people of all ages. Our training incorporates verbal de-escalation strategies, breakaway techniques, restraints and releases that, where appropriate, teach non-harming responses in the event of a verbal or violent assault.

However, there are times when real danger is a breath away and  for this eventuality the delegate will be taught situational awareness and immediate physical and proportionate responses to the most dangerous of assaults.

We live in an increasingly physically dangerous world where violence is often gratuitous. If you are concerned about your staff's wellbeing there are few better personal safety trainers than Trevor Gilbert.

Trevor has extensive experience not only in the practical issues of self-defence, but in understanding the psychology of people through long experience of working with business, Government, local authorities, people with disabilities and disadvantaged young people.

He has been described by one of the world's leading martial arts masters as possessing a rare and deep understanding of tai sabaki (body/foot movement and situational awareness).

As part of our organisation's adherence to best practice we are members of the Institute of Conflict Management (www.conflictmanagement.org). The ICM is dedicated to setting standards in the prevention and management of aggression and conflict and we try to ensure adherence to their Code of Practice when delivering training.
